the boiler has worked ok right through the summer months now winter is approaching the water temp will drop down overnight to very cold-next morning it will fire up about 5 or 6 times before it stays on--this fault only happens in the winter any ideas at no time does it lock out

this could be the how water flow switch dropping out, the air pressure switch dropping out, or it could be overheating breifly due to a blocked calorifier (plate heat exchanger) best get an engineer to call
