renault megane 1998 wont start?

when turning the key i have nothing on the dash no ignition lights etc, but the headlights , indicators etc all work, please help

hi ive tried that but when put lights on they ok until turn key then they go dull could this be the battery?

check your battery connections, earth wires fom battery to gearbox/chassis, starter/alternator main wire for secure connection and cables condition.
