Can I get a circuit diagram for Tricity Sovereign Cooker 4638?

My Tricity Sovereign 4638 cooker completly shuts down occasionaly after use (not every time). Assume it is thermaly protected as does not become usable again untill completely cooled down, which then requires reseting the clock again. Is there a circuit diagram available to enable me to check this out, and has any one else experienced this problem?

The main reason for the cooker completely shutting down is that the control panel cooling fan has failed or the cooling fan filter is blocked resulting in the control panel overheating and the thermal safety device tripping out. It can take one to two hours for the thermal trip to reset when the oven will return to full operation. The solution is to ensure that the fan filter is regularly cleaned out (this is located at the bottom right hand side toward the front) or to replace the control panel cooling fan which seizes up when the bearings wear out after a number of years of use. The thermal cut out is unlikely to be the root cause of the problem.

My daughter's 4638 has started to do this. The handbook only referes to a thermal cut out for the hob and says nothing about the oven except that it will cut in and out to maintain the temperature, as one would expect. Did you sort it, or even get a circuit diagram? If so please let me know anything useful as I'm loath to start taking it apart without knowing anything about it although, if needed, I will.

My parents have the same problem on their 4638. did you finally find the wiring diagram ?

Jonathon.
Thanks for your comment, I can appreciate the need for thermal protection but as the cooker is about 13 years old I have only just recently started experiencing this problem and wondered if the cut out is now over sensative & needs replacing.

Alot of people have. This is a new saftey device that Sovereign have installed because of a recent fire risk to the 4638 models. If it overheats it will protect the user and cut off the cooker.Thats what it has done.BTW i cannot find a wiring diagram for this model.Sorry.Hope this helps
