How can I fix Whirlpool FCEM9 oven, the clock says STOP & oven doesn't work?

I have a Whirlpool FCEM9 oven and following a powercut the clock just says STOP, this means that the main oven does not work. I have tried resetting the clock as per instructions but nothing happens. Has the switch broken if so how can I fix it?

Had the same problem. But could not change the clock. Turned out the change button had seized and no longer worked. I turned off the electricity, opened the screws on the side, took out the button, exposed the inner switch, replaced the switch and then built a little insert out of ball-point pen chamber and a rawl-plug ... 'bricolage' as the French say, but it worked.

Press the clock button quickly a couple of times and the "STOP" dissapears and the oven works again.

"Temporary" fix! - Without warning our double oven shut down electrically. By trial and error found that by additionally turning the top oven switch to 'lamp' only the clock came back to life but making a grinding noise but then by pressing botton 4 - manual operation - the main oven worked again, but this has to be done each time of operation. So it seems to be a clock problem but how easy it is to to acquire a new one and change I don't just know. Any advice gratefully received please.
