hi debs. did you fix it? got the same problem with my 2007 jetforce 125 efi. no spar from spark plug. no negative voltage supply going to the ignition coil when turning the engine. does anyone got the same fault and fixed it?

Have you tried either cleaning your spark plug or getting a new one. I had the same problem, and i found that the spark plug was covered in oil so a cleaned and dried it. Put it back in and it worked fine.

Hi there. Had the same problem with my 2005 model when i bought it some weeks ago. First, undo & remove the large metal casing of drivebelt (left hand side of bike from the rear wheel to engine). When removed, press starter button and check starter motor cog is engaging the larger crank cog, if its not, its probably 1 of 3 things. 1, starter cog worn. 2, cog is sticking. 3, wrong wire to starter motor, thus, starter motor spinning wrong way, (which was the cause of mine!) Good luck. ps. keep your hands away of cogs when trying this or you'll have no fingers left !

I don't know this particular model, but the first thing you need to do is: Check that you are using the choke, if its a manual type. Then, remove the spark plug and see if its wet with fuel. If it is, dry and clean it. Spin the engine over with the plug out to clear excess fuel. Put the spark plug (lead connected) onto a metal part of the engine, spin the engine over and look for a spark. If a spark is seen, put the plug back in and try again. If the plug is completely dry, you could have a fuel blockage in the carburettor or a faulty fuel tap - which is often vacuum operated.
