Low pressure fuel pump on a Iveco Daily?

Hi,
I own an Iveco Daily and have recently started to get problems with the low pressure fuel pump (the one by the fuel tank).

If I forget to let the heater plugs warm and let all the lights go out on the dashboard when I switch the ignition on and simply just turn the key, it keeps blowing the fuel pump. At £150 a time from Iveco it can get quite expensive.

I know the easy answer is to make sure I let the plugs warm up properly and let everything do what it should before starting but on occasions its easy to forget especially when you're jumping from petrol to diesel all day everyday.
Surely this shouldnt cause the pump to fail...

Any idea's anyone?

sounds like you are getting some sort of dirt into the pump. What kind of fuel are you using.
Is it diesel or biodiesel or do you use a veggie oil, diesel mix

theres no way that the 2 problems are connected, not to my knowledge anyway, if you would like a engineer to come out to you my details are listed at my website, williamsdiesels.com
