Alarm going off intermittently?

We have a Scantronic alarm system that has been going off all day, we dont know why.
The control box shows PIR unit tamper, but none of the
PIRs have been touched including the control box and all appear in order.
When reset it is OK for about an hour but then goes off again showing the same fault, HELP

Cheers mate will do got your number.
So far so good.

Hi Paul, Its difficult sometimes to resolve your problems 100% from this end, But if the panel says that the fault was on that detector, it probably was. Other problems that can happen, are mice chewing through cables, High resistance on cables, where some un-caring engineer has run cables under carpets, and people walk on them, in time a cable will probably go high resistance.
Before anyone comments, i normally use cavity's where possible, voids, and under floor boards. Too many companies Paul dont care about quality, and only want your money. rest assured Paul, Scantronic make some of the best alarm panels on the market along with the Honeywell Galaxy, and Texecom Premier. I fit Scantronic as standard, so your in good hands.
Any probs mate, buzz me

Hi J
Update,we took the cover off the main control panel having first disconected the mains. I checked the PIR, that we thought was the problem, but seemed OK.I reconnected the battery put cover back switched on, its been OK since then, any thoughts?
Paul.
