my ldv pilot has been getting harder to start now the cold weather is here it had new glow plugs last year and has a good battery. it is a low mileage van with the peugeot engine it has got so bad that i had to use the dreaded easy start now it will not start without it . any information or ideas will help

The glow plug controller might be letting the glow plug relay stay on too long and burning the glow plugs out ...have seen this on GM diesels and it gets expensive replacing glow plugs with out knowing why they burnt out ...using starter fluid is bad for the engine but ya got todo what ya got todo eh>?

The last thing you should do is use easy start in fact I would not use it at all.
I would replace the glow plugs again then if that did not cure it try the glow plug relay.
