1.6 16v vectra timing?

I HAVE A 1.6 16V VECTRA I HAVE DONE A TIMING KIT AND WATERPUMP BUT WHEN I TOOK THE BELT OFF AT TDC THE LEFT CAMSHAFT HAS SLIPPED ROUND ABOUT A TOOTH AND A HALF AND IT WANT LINE BACK UP CORRECT IF U CAN HELP ME

just done mine on a vectra 1.8 16v. I had the same problem but it was the right cam that moved just hold it in TDC with a screw driver while you put the belt on.

Dont run the engine,it,s an interferance fit so the valves could hit the pistons with the timing out and wreck your engine.
You need a tool to hold the cam,s in place when doing the timing so to stop them slipping like yours have.
