Mk2 ford mondeo L/H driveshaft removal?

Given the limited space with engine/ transnission in vehicle how do i go about removing L/H driveshaft from differential. I do understand it is retained in place with an internal circlip on splines, manual instructs to lever inner tripod joint housing but as it means levering against alloy differential housing i am wary. Any better suggestions ?
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks JWM

Having just replaced flywheel clutch and slave cylinder on a tdci. You have to drop sub frame915 mm) which means quite a lot of disconecting pipes radiator and clamp on steering rack. once you've lowered sub frame you can then disconect driveshaft.Use a big screw driver to pull off from gearbox and be carefull of driveshaft oil seal. The hardest part is getting the circlip which holds the driveshaft in place past its home.
