I have an AEG double built in oven ref CD 81001A Alutec purchased in 2003. It was under guarantee until 2008 but as usual it has started to go wrong now it is out of cover.
What happens is that when the oven is set to cooking at a pre set temperature it suddenly shuts down. I have replaced the three thermal cut-out sensors but the main oven still cuts out.
Has anyone had a similar problem and knows how to fix it ?

Thanks for your comment but did the replacement of the two sensors solve the problem. I ask because I still have the occasional cut out normally at a critical time ie dinner party.

I have had the same problem ( D81005d ) and have also replaced the 3 thermal cut outs located under the top oven panel.

Recently I noticed that closing the top oven door sometimes resulted in the bottom oven restarting so I wondered if it was just a loose connection. On pulling the thing to bits again I failed to find any loose connections but discovered 2 further thermal cut outs ( 180 degrees ) mounted at the back of the ovens. I have just ordered replacements and will update on success / failure once they have been fitted.

The cooling fan definitely does come in after a certain time and does continue to run.
Have just done a test. The large oven was set to fan cooking at 190degC and it had not cut out after 30min. The cooling fan came in after about 20min. As you can see the oven cutting out is an intermittent problem and normally occurs within 20min of starting the oven. I can only assume that within this time the cooling fan has not started.
I have not touched or replaced the cooling fan thermostat. I suppose the fan could stick sometimes and cause an intermittent overheat situation. What do you think ?

does the cooling fan start up? and if not have you changed the cooling fan start up thermostat?.It could also be a seized cooling fan motor so you need to check that also at the same time.
