how can i fix my breville kettle which got wet underneath when filling?

I was filling my kettle from the tap. The kettle base got wet. It trips the electric everytime I plug it in. Even though I have dried it thoroughly.

Leave the kettle in a warm place for a few hours to thoroughly dry out, then try again. Seems like water has got into the internals somehow.
