If you have moved in and don't have a code in my experience you should call a local alarm company to resolve it, Most alarms will power up straight into alarm mode and require the correct code, It is far better to have an expert look at it so the whole system can be tested, this is highly advisable as you have never seen the system working....Yes it can be defaulted to factory settings but be aware the installing engineer can lockout everybody from changing the program on this model... good luck.
