I can't change my code on my Veritas house alarm even with instructions!?

Hi, I cannot change the alarm code on my veritas house alarm even though I have found the instructions on line. My house was a show house so it may be locked!! Please can anybody help?

Thanks I have now sorted it. It is a very old system and the instructions I had were wrong. Also it was initially locked to engineers code but now sorted.
