ariston marghrita. how can i get rid of the bad smell from the drum?

After washing and empting the washer their is a bad smell of damp coming from the drum, i have tried to leave the door open and it is still stinking. Do you have any ideas of how to get rid of this awfull smell?

I had this problem and was advised to put the washing powder straight into the drum. After several washes the smell had gone and has not come back.

Is your washer plumbed in correctly.
there should be a U bend between your washer outlet and the sewer. This can be either the sink U bend or a seperate U bend.
