the automatic gearbox on my 2.0 ltr sharan is very jumpy/eratic. for the gears to engage i have to rev the engine above 3,000 rpm and when it deos the vehicle jumps forward
Sounds to me like it needs new clutch plates in gearbox
You can look to having a part exchange box (rebuit)
I've had similar experience on TD4 and espace auto.
