whirlpool fridge / freezer ?

water is running down the inside of the back panel and collecting in the bottom of my fridge, i have made sure the little hole in the back is clear but its not draining the water away hence the puddle on the bottom shelf ! its set to med setting by the way !wot could be causing this problem ?

Dear Tracey, the temperature is not relevant to your problem, the water condensed in your cabinet during the running portion of the cycle has to drain away down the hole you mention. This is not happening, and this is the cause of your trouble. It often gets blocked with a pea, cellophane, mould etc. You may indeed see the hole clear but aft of that will be the obstruction. I rarely have to dismantle and blow out the small hose situated at the rear, but often succeed with reaming out the first few inches past the internal hole by intoducing a small plastic straw like that used as an extension on an oil-aerosol can. Good luck!
