What do I do if I've put unleaded petrol in my old car?

I have a 1981 VW Jetta with an unmodified petrol engine. It was accidentally filled with unleaded petrol and is now stalling. How do I fix it?

You should be able to get lead additive from car spares shop. Don't do it again.

If only few gals they may even just say top it right up with leaded.
