Hi all ive been offerd a w reg boxer on the cheap 1.9d with a broken cambelt. How much damaged is caused when the belt goes on these engines. does it scrap the head damage piston, is it nworth reparing? thanks for all and any help
Hi, the engine is whats known as an "interferance fit" which means in the event of a belt failure, piston to valve damage is most likely!! so you could be looking at a seriously large repair bill !!!!!
