megane cv joint?

Hi does anybody know how much of a job is it to change the cv joint on a renault megane 1.6 petrol x reg 2000 many thanks?

No biggie. You'll need a 30 mm barrel to unscrew the main nut, a 16 mm to unbolt the steeringstag(or what it is called). probaply 17 mm to unbolt the tire itself ( first thing 2 to). To unbolt the springs, i believe u will have 2 use 21 mm if my memory's right. You have to have a hammer, to get out dificult bolts and the joint itself. Cut up the protective rubber around the cv joint, and remove both this and the clips. Give the joint a good hit with the hammer( this is when the driveshaft has been seperated from the rest, and all you need to do, is to seperate the cv from the driveshaft), so that the joint gets of. REMEMBER to put on the protective boot before you start installing the new cv. Make sure u use a lot of grease aswell. All u need should be in a cv joint kit.
