How do I fix my bathroom extractor fan?

Extractor fan making noise for quite a while when light turned on. Then one day turned light on and fan no longer switching on. Is there any simple solution?

part p of the building regs states a bathroom is classed as a special location and thus any electrical work should be carried out by a registered competant person ie an electrician. these regs where designed to protect the public

Take the fan cover off (after turning off master sw) and see if the fan is clogged up with muck, see if you can turn it freely. If it will turn easy but not by electricity then you need a new fan quite cheap
