replace spheres on xantia?

hi,how much of a job is it to replace the rear spheres on a p reg xantia? could i do it myself?

yes its simple enough you will need to support the rear of the car on axle stands or ramps , put the height control lever to minimum and release the pressure from the system via the pressure regulator [ regulator is mounted on front , of engine and has accumalator sphere attached to it , its a 13 mm bolt on front undo half a turn ,DO NOT REMOVE AS THERE IS A SPRING & BALLBEARING BEHIND IT it should hiss as the pressure is released then use a chain wrench to undo the spheres ,they are tight and a sharp tap with a hammer on the wrench normally does it, be careful the strut does'nt turn as it may fracture the hydraulic pipe , when fitting the new spheres ,fit the rubber sealing ring in the strut first and then screw the sphere lnto the strut , when finished run the engine for a couple of minutes before tightning the pressure release screw,this is to purge the system of air, put the height lever on max , and check fluid level
