hi mate,fiats are prone to problems with the automatic brake shoe adjusters...if your car is fitted with shoes and not brake discs and pads you will need to remove the brake drums and adjust the rear brakes. hand brake cables "stretching" is a myth....if your handbake travel is excessive or not holding correctly its almost certainly rear brake adjustment is the answer
