How to remove oil sump on Briggs & Stratton 14.5hp mdl# 287707?

Would like to know what to do next after having used a gear puller in an attempt to remove the engine pulley off of my Briggs and Stratton model 287707 14.5 hp riding mower engine. Before using the puller I lubed engine shaft overnight. The puller has beent the walls of the grove on the pulley. I am sure I face the replacement of it now but still need to remove pulley so as to replace oil sump.

You need to remove the bolt that holds it on to the crankshaft that is located in the hole in the end of the pully. Thanks mike

pulleys are difficult to remove somtimes is what we do is drill 2 holes in pulley and use steering wheel puller.they also make a tool that goes underneath the pulley so you dont dammage the pulley.a bearing seporater works if you have a large enough one (some people call it a clam shell) so heat from a torch may be needed but do not heat to hot.
