If the mains electrical supply is switched off the alarm is set off. I was instructed to removed the control panel batteries which has had no effect. putting the security number in with the power off has no effect. The alarm bell must also have a battery which I cannot reach. Any help gratefully received

The problem is that the alarm system is not being maintained by an alarm company.

The battery inside the panel is 'dead', power goes off, outside sounder sounds, as it designed to do.
