Can I fix my Hotpoint washing machine?

I have a Hotpoint First Edition 800 washing machine. Last week it started to smell. I thought it was dirty so put a it through a cycle with just detergent in it. Still smelt so did it again on a boil wash. Now it won't pump the water out. I think maybe the pump has gone and that might have been what the smell was. Is it worth repairing or will I have to buy a new one?

Hi, it sounds like the pump/drain hose is just blocked, when you put it on a drain/spin cycle can you hear the pump motor turning? If you can then the pump is ok and there is a blockage in the drain hose or in the outlet system somewhere if you cannot hear the pump then the pump is blocked with something like a coin, hair clip etc or has siezed and will req a new one.
you can purchase parts from.

Does anyone know where the filter is located on the Hotpoint WMA54 Aquarius?
