Where can I buy replacement wooden bases for dining room chairs?

Does anyone know where I can buy replacement wooden bases for my set of four dining room chairs? The bases have become damaged where the screws go in - they appear to be cheap wood/reconstructed wood original bases (the chairs were second hand). I appreciate it may be cheaper to make my own but any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

I hope this doesn't sound patronising, but find a local joinery firm, take one of the old bases with you, and ask if they can help you out.
