why wont my peugeot 106 start?

it is an automatic peugeot 106 s reg 98. The ignition lights all come on but when i turn the key to start it all i get is a buzzing which i think is coming from the relays under the dash by fuse box and one under the bonnet

On the understanding that the gear selector is in P or N then it sounds that the battery needs to be replaced.
Read up how to connect the batteries ( in the handbook) and try to start the car from another using jump leads.
