The funny thing is that the fault righted itself this morning when my son turned on the ignition. Electronics, more bother than they're worth.

It sounds like the linkage from the handle to the lock has come adrift, if the car opens ok from the outside...the car will still be under warranty so maybe its best not to fiddle with it?
