Paloma water heater?

The following fault has developed.......when I turn on h/w tap, the burners fire up as they should but then close down almost immediately and then they fire up again only to close down again and so it goes on as long as the tap is turned on !?!?
Can anybody throw any light on what is causing this please?

check your water supply as it sounds like it is pulsing !
Ps. If you have a 3f or 2f model don't bother looking for overheat safety switch as it won't have one.

Maybe the overheat safety switch has somehow been moved too close to the burners.
