Why is my Altex alarm beeping when one sensor detects movement?

When my Altex alarm sensor at the top of the stairs detects movement it emits a quiet beep at the keypad downstairs. It doesn't for the sensor in the lounge though. It beeps when the alarm is not set and when it is part set. Not tried it with the alarm fully set as I assume it will set the outside siren off. It is only a quiet beep which lasts for 1/2 a second but it is very annoying now!! Please help!

If it's an Altex alarm try inputing *(whichever zone number)* that should work.

Sound like this Zone has been selected for "Chime", this will need to be de-selected, check your Panel manual on how to do this, as various control panels differ
