W reg Renault megane scenic speedo not working what could be the fault

Gary, September 2016
had the same problem of speedometer not working, steering hard to turn and ELECTRONICAL FAULT message appearing with STOP one on my megane 2 2005.somethimes after starting the car the message STEERING CHECK would appear then quickly get replaced by the electronical fault one. followed of advice I got from one of the people here.here and its working now. I JUST changed the ABS fuse (10A) found on the passenger seat dashboard compartment on my car. other cars its under the steering wheel. everything working now. no ELECTRONICAL FALT, STOP and STEERING CHECK messages. steering soft and everything back to normal. word ofadvice: please check the fuses first before anything else for these cars.

Had the same problem, wire 21 on on the abs module ( behind the front bumper on driver side) gave it a little pull and it snapped!!. Soldered in a new section and it works!!. Now the stupid abs light wont go out. Had it scanned and it says "Abs pump circuit"

Under the fuse box. White block connecter. Grey wire corroded and broke when pulled. Repaired and now working.
