Can anyone tell me how I change the hose (main one from machine to wand) on my Dyson DC04?

Dead Simple for Dyson which is highly unusual!

Remove wand from hose

Then at base of hose where it joins machine you will see a brightly coloured ribbed button, just below the cable wrap around assembly. Push it in using a screwdriver for example and hey presto, you can pull the hose up and out.
