Partner 431S petrol lawn mower, when i pull the cord to start her up nothing happens, the fly-wheel goes round but there is no compression, it was working fine 2weeks ago. I'm not really mechanically minded so if you can resolve my problem can you break it down, how to dismantle (fix-it) and put it back together.

Does the engine actually rotate, or is it just the starter pulley going round?

Usually, it's just the starter not engaging the flywheel. if you prise off the plastic cowling, the starter assembl is hels on with 2 small screws. You should be able to see what is (not) happening.
