My Briggs & stratton engine does not produce a spark ?

The engine turns over strongly but there is no spark at the sparking plug , How can I fix the problem ?

Presumably your Briggs unit has electronic ignition? Make sure that the (new) spark plug body is touching the metal cylinder somewhere when you crank the engine over. Disconnect any thin black wires - this is the engine cutout that goes to a switch somewhere. If still no spark - replace the coil. If your engine has contact breaker points - which means that it is elderly - post back.
