I finished making a garment and returned after easter break and found the m/c exactly how I left it but to find the pedal to run it doesnt work. I have had a look inside the pedal and nothing looks untoward and Im baffled as the electricity is getting thru as the light works on the m/c. can you advise whether I need a new lead or engineer visit.

Hello Melinda,
There may be a small break in the lead but it would be wise to get someone to look at it.
