how can i fix water fuel trap on transit van?

the warning light has come on on the dashboard, have found where it is but not sure what to do. its a ford transit van p reg

take off wiring plug, remove sensor/drain assy from fuel filter,clean it, drain fuel/water from filter into container [dispose of sensibly] refit drain/sensor assy,fit wiring plug, bleed filter and light should have gone out.
