i have a hotpoint first edition 1000, i have 2 problems. ?

I have a hotpoint first edition 1000. 1st problem is the clothing is collecting fluff and dirt and i can hear water left under the drum. It doesn't have a drainage door at front of machine or drain hole in rubber seal for me to clean or change filters as i have been used to with previous machines, so where's the filter thats obviously clogged? How do i do it please? 2nd - the machine has started making a lot of noise on spin, some serious banging to impress my downstairs neighbours -anyone know what this is and what i need to do please? Thankyou!

Chances are that the pump or drain hose is blocked. If it's not simply a question of the hose being trapped or crimped by something behind the machine you'll have to take the back panel and lower panel off the back to look into that. While you're there check that the springs that hold the drum in position are located correctly - this could be causing the banging that you experience during the spin cycle.
