I have a mark one scenic 1999, the last 3 months the gear stick jumps, in gears 1,2,3.
I have taken it to several garages and no fix has happened spending 200 hundred pounds on front engine mountings and another at the back.

Today decided to try somewhere else, i noticed the gear stick linkage seems slack, the garage i took it to noticed the gear selector under the gear stick looked worn, it looks like a small white block with a bearing in.

Has anyone else had this problem and does changing the selector fix it.
