what causes this problem?

I have a new Thretford electric flush toilet. The problem is that the water flow is not even ,it spits,as though there is air in the system and then it stops pumping water, but still sounds as though it is working. Is there an air lock causing the problem and if so how is the air entering the system?

Thanks for taking the time to reply Bob....but we are dealing with the toilet flush which is not accessable without taking the toilet compartment to pieces!

Log on to www.thetford-europe.com
click English then customer service and on left list 'Ask thetford'

Or www.thetford.com.au for Australia [yes they paste on forum as well] drop the select English
and look for customers sevice then 'Ask thetford'.

Does sound like an air lock some times removed by bouncing the pump up and down in the water.
