A warning light has come on in my S reg Vauxhall Corsa?

I have an S reg Vauxhall Corsa and a warning light has come on in the dashboard that I don't know what it means. It is on the rev counter dial and looks like a picture of a red man with a seatbelt on with a ball infront of him. I think it may be related to the airbag but how do I get it to go? My dad was playing around with the stereo because I had my cd palyer nicked and he was trying to fit the original radio back in but couldn't attach the wires at the back so I wasn't sure if the airbag had somehow got knocked in the process?

I should have mentioned that, with the light on the airbag is switched off.
The car is safe to drive and will pass an MOT with the light on.
If, however , you do have a crash, the airbag will not inflate.

The air bag light can only be reset using the appropriate diagnostic equipment. It doesn't have to be a vauxhall dealer, lots of independents can do it. It only takes a couple of minutes to do the job, phone around for the best price.
The light will not reset if the fault is still there.
Check the wires under the front seats, if your Dad was moving the seats back the connectors can come loose, this will put the airbag light on.
