Puntos are well known for it,have the cooling system pressure tested,make sure it is not losing water rather than burning it.can only be a leak or head.check under the dash in the middle to see if its wet there,thats where they usally go(heater matrix)

Probably because the cylinder head gasket has gone...lots of Punto's do it.
