i took off the panel one of the holders for window fell off. and after putting it on with the glue, i tired putting the window back up but theres a sound and its like the window would break.

now i have found out today from a a guy who used to work in a nissan garage that my kind of model of nissan has this problem all the time. but i cant find anyway of fixing it permantly, if anyone can help please let me know.

I have got a micra 2000 or 1999 as well, and same problems with driver's side window glass slipped out of the holding clamps, Have tried gluing it back 3 tiems paid mechanic £30.00 each time, but still same problems every 6 months, have been told only better solution is to replace glass. (£80.00) job.

I have an X reg Nissan Micra and last year the driver window glass slipped. A helpful mechanic tried with some type of strong glue, but it did not last more than a day, however a Nissan garage were able to reglue the glass with a special adhesive that bonds new clips to the glass. You may also find that you have to have new glass as well. This year the passenger window glass slipped the same way and the same has to happen. You will need to take the vehicle to a good garage that can obtain new Nissan clips and the special adhesive that goes with it. Good luck!

I don't know your car but my Golf has suffered electric window problems on both front doors...

Behind the interior trim panel is the winding mechanism that lifts the window up and down - on my car it's on a metal panel with access holes to get to the clamps for the glass. The motor is a separate item screwed to the panel.

The winding gear (no motor - no glass) cost me just under £50 each time I needed to make a repair - I engaged the services of a travelling car locksmith to do the work - another £50.

The front radio speakers are pop-rivitted to the winding mechanism panel on my Golf and they had to be drilled out and rivitted back onto the new panels.

Your car will obviously be different but I suspect you will need to fit a new winding mechanism and the costs will probably be very similar.

Good luck...
