dashboard warning light flashes on and off i have a citroen zsara vts?

switching on the ignition the airbag light comes on then off then back on again and flashes constantly

under the passenger seat is a cable with a female to male plug and socket, tighten the two or push them together and the fault will most likely vanish,i did this to my vts and it now appears normal
