Hotpoint TC71 blowing cold?

I've checked the continuity of all 3 of the cut out switches and the heating element and they are ok, but still no heat.
Does anyone have any other ideas or a wiring diagram?

I've just had similar problems with an old TC71. I changed the thermostats (yes both) and heating element and still couldn't get the machine to heat.

Then I followed the wires from the thermostat back, some run under the (condenser) fan housing to an impossibly hidden little float chamber switch (it must cut off the heating elements once the water tank is full). In my machine the float movement was "lint-stuck" and once freed I had a fully functioning dryer again.

The machine is now near 15-years old and will hopefully last for many years to come! Maybe this tip might help somebody?

It turned out to be the white box at the bottom off the dryer which turns off the heating element every time the drum switches rotation.
£40 to fix
Hope this helps anyone else with the same problem.

I don't think you have checked it properly. Disconnect the wires from the stats before you test them. It is normally these that fail.
