whats wrong withe my cluch?

i have a 1999 model fiat brava 1.2sx when i press the cluch its stiff and makes a clicking sound just after the mid way point all answers will be much appreciated

i had same problem on a 97 brava, took it to a garage after replacing the clutch and it tourned out to be the slave cylendar,

it sounds like the ratchet wich adjusts your clutch automaticly
