the lock on toilet waste door of my lunar quasar caravan would not lock, took it apart (two screws) out fell three springs and two bits of plastic! any one know how to rebuild please? diagram please?

hi pentewan fan,

unscrew the whole door and surround from the caravan body.
lie it flat (gravity helps here).push the lock into place 1st,can only go in 1 way due to the locating pins.
the grey hook part is simple,look at the other lock on the door.
the white bit has 2 squares on the back,these are where the 2 identical springs go,lie it so the springs are pushing against the outer caseing,this will make the hook work by using the cogg type mechanism.
the odd spring goes behind the lock then rest the cover plate over it all and then screw into place.

Because of security [Lock makers don't want to advertise to thieves on how their locks are made] you won't get a lock diagram.
Locksmiths are registered and unless you can produce a checkable registration you won't get a diagram, so think new lock unless you work out how it fits together.{Lunar owner]
