where does the distributer cap bolt onto a 1999 v plate fiesta 1.3?

It is currently swinging around...keeps stopping the throttle cable from releasing...hence, the cars gets faster with no feet on pedal!!
I need to position the distributer cap in correct position.

Help!!???!!

Not having seen this engine, my guess would be it's a normal Ford fitting with a bolt through a ring clamp (at the base of the dizzy body - not the cap) - but if you're this unaware/worried you shouldn't be under the bonnet in the first place ;-) BTW the throttle cable should be well out of the way....

Your engine does'nt have a distributer cap!!! it does'nt even have a distributer!!! it has a coil pack assembly thats about 4" square
