The canopy that covers the rear of the canister pops off with a flat screwdriver. Pry the cover at the corners, starting on one side. Under that, is the upper frame. It has 2 long phillips screws holding it on from either side. Then, hinge the cover off from the rear of the frame. The cord reel is held in by being sandwiched inbetween the upper and lower body.
