Briggs and stratton engine smokes?

I have a ride on lawn mower with a brggs and stratton 16hp OHV engine that puffs bluish white smoke also oil is forced into the air filter when i cut uphill can anyone help please

Assuming that you have not overfilled it with oil, then either the crankcase breather is blocked, or the engine is worn (rings/bore).

If that's the case, the only option is a complete re-build.
